Labs
YouGetIt.com is one of the most ambitious social media sites ever built, combining the functionality and purpose of MySpace, YouTube, flickr, eBay, Craigslist, iTunes and more, all in one location. The scale of this project means that there are unresolved issues that you will notice as you navigate around the site, and a few of the features that we really wanted to implement aren't finished yet. We appreciate your patience and any feedback that you can provide on bugs, suggestions, or just comments on the site as a whole. Our local and international development teams are working literally around the clock to fix everything as quickly as is possible, and to get new features added as well. Here's a preview of cool new things that we're currently working on:
Events Calendar:
We are currently developing a tool that will allow you to sync other web calendars with our calendar, so you can easily import all of your events that you have scheduled in other web applications on to this one. Drop us a line if you've got a calendar application that you would like for us to support.
We're also developing more robust search solutions for the Events Calendar that will allow you to use the slider bar found on other pages to expand your YouGetIt Events searches all the way up to state level. That way, if you're up for a road trip to see awesome events that are a couple of hours away, you will be able to find all of the events you want, quickly and easily.
Auctions:
We will be adding a catalog of over 100,000 items that we're offering any YouGetIt.com user, for sale at a great reduction from MSRP. We will have name brands like Nokia, SONY, GE, Tommy Hilfiger, Banana Republic, and more available for purchase through the YouGetIt.com auctions page.
Talent:
We will shortly be improving our embedded media player to make it possible to purchase mp3's and videos posted for sale on YouGetIt.com by local talent. We are building a payment processing and download system to support this, and hopr to have it up shortly.
Zip Code Search:
We will shortly be adding a feature in YouGetIt that will let you select zip code by state and city, rather then requiring that you look up the zip code on another site or already know it yourself, in case you want to change the zip code that you are searching by.
YouGetIt.com is going to be improving and changing rapidly over the next few weeks and months. We look forward to hearing from you with comments, suggestions, and ideas.
Thank You,
The
YouGetIt.com
Team
