• The Businesses section of YouGetIt is keyed to the zip code you enter in order to introduce you to the businesses that can help your daily life the most-the ones that are closest to you. However, you can change this location at any time by clicking on the Zip Code and simply entering a new one. This allows you to find businesses in any location as easily as you can find them at home.

b. The Shop Around the World

• Like most features on YouGetIt, you can increase or decrease the amount of distance from your zip code when conducting a Business search, limiting it to businesses local to you, or expanding it to include services from all over the world.

  It's as easy as adjusting the "Expand your Results" slider bar. Sliding it to the left reduces the size of the search so only businesses close to you will be listed. Sliding it to the right widens the search all the way up to the State, National, or Worldwide level.

c. Browsing the Businesses

• Finding a business on YouGetIt is as simple as looking in your local phone directory. Just find the Category or Sub-Category that describes what type of business you're looking for, and browse the entries to find what is right for you.

  From the browse screen, you can see the contact information for the business, distance from your zip code, and pull up maps of the location. Once you find the businesses you're looking for, find out more details by bringing up the individual profiles for a more in-depth view.

• Once you've found the Category and Sub-Category of businesses that you are looking for, you can browse the business's profile to learn more about it. In this profile, you'll find contact information, a map of the location, and the business's description of their services—all the things you would expect to find in a business directory.

  However, you'll also have access to any promotions that may be ongoing, including deals and coupons that may be available exclusively through YouGetIt. If the business has uploaded a catalog of their products or services, then you may also be able to shop directly through your internet browser.

  But, most importantly, you'll be able to find out what other people in your area think about the products and services offered by the business. You can view the overall score given to the business by other YouGetIt users and read the reviews written by them, as well as contribute your own rating and review of your experiences for others to read. YouGetIt allows you to make informed decisions about the businesses you choose.

b. Up-To-Date Business Information

• YouGetIt users have the ability to receive the most up-to-date information about a business when they choose to Subscribe to a business profile. Whether it's new products and services, new promotions and deals, or finding out about special events, YouGetIt Businesses have an incredible tool to get the things they offer into the hands of people who want it the most.

• For as long as businesses have sought customers, people have relied on word of mouth to find the best products and services available. YouGetIt helps take this principle to the next level with a comprehensive rating system that becomes part of a business's permanent profile.

  You can grade a business based on price, courtesy, quality, professionalism, and service, and each of these details are gathered together to form a comprehensive score for the business. Is assigning a grade not enough? Then you can write a review of the business, so people will know exactly what you liked (or didn't like) about your experience with a business.

  Remember that your reviews are permanently added to a business's profile, and your opinions and experiences help other YouGetIt users to make informed decisions when they search for reputable businesses.

b. Sharing Businesses

• If you think a business is worthy of attention, YouGetIt offers several ways to share that information with the people you know.
  1. You can send information about a business using the "share it" feature to send the news to an email address.
  2. Forward the contact information about a business to a mobile phone by using the "send2cell" feature.
  3. You save a business in your personal folder (viewable in My Account), so you'll always have their information on-hand.

• Finding Coupons on YouGetIt uses the same intuitive system used for the Business section. First, choose your start location by entering your zip code (or using your default zip code as a starting point). Then, adjust your search by using the “Expand your Results” slider bar. Sliding it to the left reduces the search area to businesses nearest you, while sliding it to the right allows you to increase the range, all the way up to the State, National, or Worldwide level.

  If a general search is too broad for you, then simply select the Category or Sub-Category that describes what type of business you're looking for, and browse the listings to find the coupons that are right for you.

  Once you've found the right kind of coupons, you can scroll through the results and see a brief description of the coupon that is being offered, the coupon's expiration date, as well as the business associated with it, its distance from your home location, and its overall score based on the ratings of other YouGetIt users.

b. Preparing Your Coupon

• When you find the Coupon you're looking for, simply click the link to load the business's page. There you'll see the coupon ready for you to print!

  While you're there, don't forget to check the business's profile to get their contact information, a map of their location, and a description of their services. Take the time to read the business reviews and find out what other people in your area think about the products and services offered.

You can find like-minded people who are looking for the same things you are, from car enthusiasts in your area who want share photos of their vehicles, to college students hoping to join the local music scene, to parents who are looking for a group of friends online to blog their parenting experiences with.

• Finding people on YouGetIt works just like our other features. You choose your start location by entering your zip code (or using your default zip code as a starting point). Then, look for people both near and far by adjusting the "Expand your Results" slider bar. • YouGetIt provides you with three easy ways to browse through and find the people you're looking for.
  1. Profile View provides you with some great information, including age and location, and a quick way to view a person's interests.
  2. Sometimes a first impression says it all, and for those people the Gallery
  3. The List View is for people who want a compact list, and gives the simplest details: age, distance, and location.

• Once you find the person you are looking for, you can explore their profile. Here, you'll find a list of their interests, including their favorite music, movies, television shows, and foods.

  Don't forget to add the person as a friend or sign their guestbook. YouGetIt is all about expanding your social network, and there's no better way to establish friendships online.

b. Interactive Blogging

• YouGetIt incorporates all the best features of the blogging world and incorporates it into a great social network. Find friends, and share their world by reading their daily updates, replying to their posts, and becoming active in the daily web-log community.

  What's more, the blogs you visit most can be incorporated into your personalized YouGetIt Home favorites, so that the people and opinions that are most important to you always remain at your fingertips.

c. Sharing Photos and Videos

• Keep your favorite images, videos, news stories, people, and blogs in one place, rather than putting up with the hassle of different sites, log-ins, and passwords. YouGetIt is your complete web presence, with the convenience of a single identity online for all of your content.

  You have a great video or a photo album that you'd like to share with the world? Upload it to YouGetIt and anyone that visits your profile will be able to see the things that you want them to see. Your unique personality can thrive online thanks to YouGetIt.

• YouGetIt's Video feature allows you to browse through all the video that is featured on the site, whether it is uploaded by businesses, artists, or other YouGetIt users. With all that content, it can be hard to find what you're looking for, which is why all videos are categorized by genre and sorted by location.

  When searching for videos, use the categories to select your area of interest. The search results (including featured videos in that genre) will be presented, complete with a picture preview, the movie length, and the rating that video has received by other YouGetIt users. Clicking the image will bring you to the video player page.

b. Viewing a Video

• Once you've loaded a video, playback should begin automatically. The video player itself operates like most media software, allowing you to play, pause, and adjust your volume.

  You'll also find other familiar YouGetIt options on the page, including the ability to rate the video, post comments, and add it to your favorites. You can continue your browsing from any video page by clicking on the list of "Related Videos" or taking a look at "More From This User." The genre you selected, as well as related tags, appear on the page to help you find more videos that you may enjoy.

  Finally, don't forget your ability to subscribe to the video to find when new information is added, as well as the ability to Share the video with friends.

• All over the internet, there are sites that allow you to share your videos. However, YouGetIt integrates that functionality with all of its features, helping you create an online personality that is exhibited by the content you help contribute.

  Remember that videos cannot exceed 100 MB in size, and they must be in the correct format. YouGetIt does not allow adult material, or any content that infringes upon any copyrighted or trademarked intellectual properties, and will remove videos found to be in violation of the terms of service.

  Once you've selected your video, make sure to add your title, description, and tags in order to help others find your video. Selecting the correct Genre is also important, so that other YouGetIt users can browse your video when they're looking in that category.

  When your information is entered, click "Upload." You'll receive confirmation from YouGetIt, and the video will appear in your personal list of videos under "My Account." Congratulations, you've just joined the YouGetIt broadcasting community!

• No longer do performers have to search for the right venue to share their work. YouGetIt's Talent section allows artists to share songs and videos, update a blog, and keep in touch with their fans all in one place.

  What's more is YouGetIt's social network shares all of its tools with aspiring (and accomplished) artists so YouGetIt members can hear the latest news, catch the latest concert schedule, download the latest tracks, and purchase official merchandise.

b. Finding Your Niche

• Today's entertainment world is filled with talent to satisfy every palette, and YouGetIt's Talent feature provides you with an easy way to find them all.
  Offering a host of genres ranging from classical to hip-hop to country, listeners will find that there is something out there for everyone, and YouGetIt members who list their talent will find an ever-expanding audience.

b. Becoming a Fan

• Once you've found an artist, you can explore their profile. Here, you can find a sampling of their music, view their uploaded videos, read their blog, purchase music from them online, and contact them by sending a message or signing their guest book. If the artist is exactly what you're looking for then show your support by adding yourself to their list of fans.

  Don't forget that subscribing to the artist's profile will allow you to receive YouGetIt alerts whenever new content is added, putting you among the first to hear the newest music or latest news.

c. Creating a Buzz

• YouGetIt artists and listeners alike want to know what you think! When you visit an artist's profile, make sure to share your opinions by rating them or replying to blog entries.

  Want to share your favorite artist with others? Then use the "share it" or "send2cell" features to forward the information to a friend's email or mobile address.
